Learning Outcomes
After the successful completion of this course, students will be able to understand how computer networks and the Internet in general, operates. They will be able to browse and work on the Internet by not only understanding internet concepts, but also understanding the underlying technology. They will also be able to create and manage webpages by using the Wordpress Content Management System.

1. Computer networks, General Principles-Internet (history, evolution).
2. Network types and their characteristics.
3. Computer networks working analysis.
4. Domain Name System (DNS) (working analysis, applications, working examples)
5. Domain Name System (DNS) (managing authorities, paradoxes-risks, regulatory-legal issues).
6. WWW (World Wide Web)- working analysis.
7. Web pages (structure, creation, web hosting).
8. Http protocol, secure web browsing, digital certificates.
9. Internet content management systems - Wordpress. Introduction-Installation-Configuration.
10. Internet content management systems - Wordpress Themes, Plugins.
11. Internet content management systems - Wordpress Forms.
12. Internet content management systems - Wordpress Questionnaires.
13. Internet content management systems - Wordpress - Assignment.
