Course Content (Syllabus)
This course explores sound as a medium of political expression and resistance against colonial, repressive, and patriarchal regimes. It analyses sonic practices in protests, artistic interventions, and resisting communities. It focuses on examples from contemporary sound art, musical forms of protest and the acoustic politics of public space.

Student Assessment
Description
Students will be assessed via the submission of a collaborative project in the form of a written essay (also individual) or artistic intervention, to be submitted at the end of the semester. A public presentation (formative) of the written or artistic work will precede the final submission during the last lessons, followed by a group discussion with the aim of providing feedback. Further details will be made available on the e-learning platform at the beginning of the semester.
