Learning Outcomes
After the course the students will be able to: 1. know the basics on quantitative research methodologies and they could apply them to transport oriented problems. 2. design and organize transport surveys for data collection in all the transportation enginnering and planning domain 3. to develop transport simulation problems and quantify the impact of transport demand and supply modifications. 4. to apply modern techniques of choice modelling in transport mode users 5. to develop mathematical analysis in open source simulation programmes 6. evaluate models based on their utility and credibility

Course Content (Syllabus)
Introduction, Sources and types of transport and mobility data, data bases, intriduction to Quantitative research, Types of Surveys (RP, SP, PuT surveys), design and planning of surveys, sampling techniques, hypothesis testing, logistic and linear regression models, timeseries analysis, paremtric and non parametric models in PuT, benchmarking evaluation in PuT, Neural networks and deep learning techniques, Structural Equation Models, Geographical Regression, Hazard Based Duration Model
