Indicative material covered: • Introductory concepts regarding fluids. • Introduction to fluid static. • Fluid kinematics. Incompressible and irrotational flows. Velocity potential and stream function. • Ideal fluids and their governing equations. Applications to ideal fluids. • Real (Newtonian) fluids and their governing equations. Applications to Newtonian fluids. • Perturbations and waves. • Instabilities. • Introduction to turbulence.
