Learning Outcomes
Students will get fundamental knowledge of materials used in photonic technology, waveguiding, diode lasers, modulation of optical signals, and optical signal amplification. They will become familiar with photonic integrated circuits. They will become acquainted with the equipment required for the characterization of diode lasers, optical modulators, and amplifiers. They will have successfully characterize diode lasers, optical modulators, and amplifiers.
