Learning Outcomes
1.Understand, describe and explain the: a) Different types of sedimentary basins, b) the mechanisms of sedimentary basin formation and c) the geotectonic setting 2.Understand the principles of sequence stratigraphy and the control of climatic changes, tectonics and sedimentation on the stratigraphic evolution of sedimentary basins. 3.Evaluate and interpret seismic profiles and petrophysical data. 4. Apply the seismic stratigraphic techniques.
