Learning Outcomes
1. To understand the mechanisms of creation, transportation and deposition of sediments in a sedimentary basin in terrestrial, coastal and marine environments under different climatic conditions (glacial, temperate, tropical and arid).
2. to learn about the applied laboratory techniques for sedimentological analysis.
Course Content (Syllabus)
Classification of sediments. Structure and texture of sediments. Sediment transport mechanisms. Depositional environments. Sedimentation models for Clastic and nonclastic sediments.
