Course Content (Syllabus)
Fundamental principles. Compositional groups. Origin of metamorphic rocks. Factors of metamorphism. Types of metamorphism. Classification of metamorphic rocks. Grades of metamorphism. Mineralogy of metamorphic rocks. Graphical representation of the mineral parageneses. Thermal metamorphism. Regional metamorphism. Geotectonic regimes of regional metamorphism. Migmatites. Oceanic metamorphism. Burial metamorphism. Dynamic metamorphism.
