Learning Outcomes
The aim of this course is to understand the basic principles of cell biology, genetics and head embryology. After the end of the course, students will be able to easily understand the normal mechanism of development of the craniofacial complex as well as the possible craniofacial malformations and dental abnormalities that they will encounter in everyday clinical practice.

Course Content (Syllabus)
1. Pediatrics. Growth and development of the human body. 2. Psychological growth and development. Biological age determination. 3. Growth and development of craniofacial skeleton. 4. Pre-and postnatal growth changes in the craniofacial region. 5. Epidemiology, pathogenesis and management of diseases in childhood 6. Embryology of the head. 7. Embryology of the craniofacial structures 8. Cell biology. Cell metabolism, tissue formation. 9. Development of bone, cartilage, teeth. 10. Genetics. Development of the head. 11. Craniofacial malformations. 12. Development of the dentition. Normal tooth development. Developmental stages. 13. Tooth abnormalities. 14. Exam. For the final examination of the course, you must send α presentation on the picked topic with at least 10 slides. Each of you can make a random choice and distribute the questions between all the students by picking sheets with numbers from1 to 10.
