Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students are expected to:
1. Demonstrate an understanding of the physiology of the cardiovascular system.
2. Acquire knowledge of the major cardiovascular diseases, with emphasis on their clinical presentation, diagnostic approach, and relevant laboratory and paraclinical investigations.
3. Develop familiarity with the principles of management of cardiovascular diseases, including both pharmacological and interventional therapies.
4. Identify and interpret a normal electrocardiogram (ECG).
5. Understand the indications for, and demonstrate practical familiarity with, the application of cardiac defibrillation.
