Learning Outcomes
Αfter completing the course students will:
-be trained in the methods of promoting rational prescribing
- develop skills and enrich knowledge about the proper use of medicines in real life settings
-be trained in the principles of evidence-based medicine
- evaluate clinically the benefit / risk index of pharmacotherapy
-understand the principles of treatment in special groups of patients (liver failure , kidney failure, chronic diseases, pregnant women, children, elderly)
- understand the mechanism of action and toxicity of drugs that lead to their therapeutic effects and adverse effects

Course Content (Syllabus)
By attending this course the future doctor, in addition to basic and essential knowledge for therapeutic substances or combination of substances, obtains knowledge in selecting the proper substance, route of administration, dosage form and dosage of the drug, and is able to fill out prescriptions lege artis and in accordance to european and greek law.
