Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to: Understand the fundamental concepts of environmental sciences and ecosystem functioning. Identify and analyze major global environmental issues, including climate change and their impacts on health. Explain European environmental policy, sustainability principles, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Evaluate the effects of environmental factors (pollution, radiation, nutrition, urban environment) on human biological systems. Correlate environmental degradation with the emergence of chronic and emerging diseases, contributing to public health promotion.
