Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be able to: Understand the underlying mechanisms leading to the development of diabetes mellitus, including genetic and dietary factors. Comprehend the cardiovascular risk factors associated with diabetes mellitus and how they influence the progression of the disease. Familiarize themselves with the application of treatment goals, determining the desired outcomes sought for effective management of diabetes mellitus. Acquire knowledge regarding various treatment options used in the management of diabetes mellitus, including oral and endogenous methods.

Course Content (Syllabus)
This course will delve into the epidemiology and prevalence of both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes mellitus. Additionally, it will analyze the pathophysiology of various diabetes types and explore how other cardiovascular risk factors can contribute to an increased risk of Type 2 diabetes mellitus. The goals of therapy for diabetes, along with various treatment options including oral and injectable medications, will be presented. Overall, the primary objective of this course is to provide theoretical knowledge in the field of diabetes mellitus. Participants will gain insights into the prevalence, underlying mechanisms, associated cardiovascular risk factors, therapeutic goals, and diverse treatment modalities related to diabetes mellitus.
