Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, students will be able to: 1) Understand the meaning and value of Plant Genetic Resources for Agriculture and Environment 2) Organize different projects for protection and exploitation of Forest's Biodiversity as related to Climate change 3) Apply a program or a plan aiming to sustainable management of rural farms 4) Apply protection and conservation schemes for PGR or a follow specific plans for transfer useful genes from wild relatives to cultivated varieties 5) Be Familiar with techniques and methodologies used in Gene Banks for PGR Conservation

Collection & Conservation of Plant Genetic Resources In situ/ Ex situ and on Farm conservation Gene Banks, Networks and International Vectors for Conservation of PGRs Forests & Biodiversity - Factors which influences the survivor and development of forest plant species Dynamic and Stable systems (in situ) for protection of Forest PGRs Ex situ models for the protection of Forest PGRs Study methods for Biodiversity Phylogenetic relationships and genetic studies in plant species.
