Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to understand the structure of machine tools, as well as the kinematics and the range of applications of various material removal processe, with or without distinct chips.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Structure of machine tools. Turning, milling, grinding. Kinematics of grinding, abrasive tools, grinding technology and methodologies. Non-conventional material removal processes. Electrical discharge machining (EDM). Laser beam machining.
