Learning Outcomes
At the end of the semester the student will be able to: 1. understand the narrative distinctiveness of short films screenplay and the ways the narrative techniques of the feature film screenplay can be used in a short film, 2. create the Hero, techniques to produce dialogues and establish an intresting topic 3. write scenes and a short script.

Course Content (Syllabus)
This course is developed at two levels: theoretical and applied. In the theoretical, issues of plot development, character and theme in short films are examined. Narrative specificities of the short film script are identified and analyzed. At the same time, short films are monitored and analyzed, as well as individual script scenes and composition techniques. In the applied level, students write at least one short film script. More generally, issues related to the different development structures of the short film are developed, as well as issues related to character development, theme and dialogue - always in relation to the short film. The course includes creative writing exercises. Course content: 1. Peculiarities of the short film - Screening of example films 2. Condensation techniques - screen examples 3. Condensation, transition and metonymy techniques - screen examples 4. Stylistic approaches - screen examples 5-8. Short film analyses by student groups (3 films/lesson) 9-12. Discussion on group script exercises (4 scripts/lesson). 13. Overview of script structure & short film writing techniques. Semester paper discussion

Description
The final grade of the course consists of 65% of the grade of the final assignment (in pairs, with a common grade) and 35% of the participation grade of each student (analysis and presentation of a short film, group exercise, contribution to the critical processing of the exercises, etc.)
