Learning Outcomes
Development of the ability to recognise und understand the main interpretative issues related to the taught provisions, to use appropriate interpretative methods for solving them, to present und critically evaluate the opinions supported about them in science and jurisprudence and to apply correctly the provisions in the framework of practical exercises.
Course Content (Syllabus)
The course examines individual aspects of criminal repression, as exercised in the context of the application of important specific criminal laws (eg drugs, weapons, smuggling, aliens). At the same time, the field of European criminal law is being examined, as it is being developed in the framework of the Council of Europe and the European Union, with emphasis on the dominant role played by the development of the single area of freedom, security and justice in the EU.
