Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will have acquired the basic knowledge of applying exercise programs to people with chronic diseases. Specifically, they will become familiar with the planning and organization of physical activities for people with chronic diseases, will know the basic characteristics and peculiarities of people with chronic diseases and will understand the role of exercise in improving the quality of life of people with chronic diseases. Finally, students will get acquainted with various forms of effective exercise aiming the secondary prevention of chronic diseases.

COURSES: - The role of rehabilitation programs in patients with chronic diseases - Integration of patients with chronic diseases into exercise programs - Testing of functional capacity - Exercise in patients with diabetes mellitus - Exercise in patients with lung diseases - Metabolic syndrome and exercise - Exercise programs in patients with chronic kidney disease - Exercise in patients with malignancies - Exercise programs for obese patients - Exercise programs for patients with bronchial asthma - Exercise in patients with osteoporosis - Exercise programs for patients with dementia - Hydro-gymnastics for patients with chronic diseases - Structure of a scientific paper (review article or original research)
