Prerequisites
General Prerequisites
The course has no formal prerequisites. In order for the participants to be able to better understand the structure of the taught issues as well as various doctrinal issues of a general nature in relation to them, familiarization with basic concepts and doctrinal categories of public law and political science is useful.
Learning Outcomes
Development of the ability to recognise und understand the main interpretative issues related to the taught provisions, to use appropriate interpretative methods for solving them, to present und critically evaluate the opinions supported about them in science and jurisprudence and to apply correctly the provisions in the framework of practical exercises.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The subject of the Administrative Science course is the analysis of the organizational phenomenon with a critical presentation of classical and newer theoretical approaches. In particular, the concepts of power and bureaucracy in the thought of Max Weber, the Marxist approach to bureaucracy, the newer theoretical views on the organizational phenomenon that question or enrich both the Weberian and the Marxist approach are analyzed. The positions of Taylor, who formulated the principles of scientific management, and Fayol, who formulated a set of management principles, are also analyzed. Furthermore, the concept of organization is presented from an ontological point of view, i.e. the administrative reality is investigated and specifically the characteristics of the administrative system and its pathologies, with reference to the modern administrative history of Greece, and finally the proposals for reform as reflected in Greek and foreign texts are presented experts from the 50s to today.
