Learning Outcomes
In the context of this course the students are expected to
-analyze topics of the Public banking law
-study the general principles of banking contract law
-delve into the legal obligations stemming from the relationship of trust between banks and clients
-examine the content of the banking contract
-examine the function of competent supervisory authorities
Course Content (Syllabus)
The course “Public banking law - general principles of banking contract law” comprises (i) public banking law and (ii) general principles of banking contract law. In the first part, the following topics, among others, are examined: the european banking institutions, the legal forms of banking institutions, the banking supervision process etc. During the second part of the course the students will delve into the basic principles of banking law such as the bank - client relationship, bank accounts, e-banking, the enforcement procedure and arrangements for debt repayment.
