Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course the students will be able to
-have a thorough understanding of the specificity and the differences of criminal law compared to other fields of law
-understand the meaning und the practical effects of the fundamental liberal guaranties enshrined in the Constitution with regard to the adoption and implementation of criminal law rules
-understand the basic concepts and the key doctrinal strucktures related to the notion of the crime

Course Content (Syllabus)
Basic notions and doctrinal structures of criminal law: Act / Omission, causality, unlawfulness, grounds of justification, culpability (intention - negligence, mistake of law, grounds of excuse). Types of crimes and other distinctions. Place and time of the commission of a crime. Attempt. Participation.Principles of jurisdiction in International Penal Law
