Learning Outcomes
After the successful completion of the course the students will: - be familiar with the basic concepts of the Tourism industry - fully comprehend the special characteristics of contracts on the tourism field transactions - have understood the obligations arising for the involved parties and the consequences of their breach - be able to develop argument and resolve legal cases on issues concerning to the materials covered in the course.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Introduction in the general Tourism theory. Basic elements. Analysis of the main of more important contracts in the field of tourism transactions. The "tourist phenomenon" (historical development of Tourism), forms of modern Tourism, perspectives-trends, effects. Tourism law (concepts, scope, distinctions, sources). Typical transaction forms (option): a) Hotelier-customer relations (hospitality contract). b) Relations between hoteliers-organizers or mediators of organized trips (hotel contract). c) The organized holiday trip (travel contract). d) Time lease, short-term lease of holiday homes. e) The international and European legal framework of tourism.
