Course Content (Syllabus)
The disorder in the growth of a fetus can be affected by a variety of factors concerning either the fetus itself or some pathological condition of the pregnant woman. Fetal growth retardation is often the first clue to the existence of an underlying pathology, and the extent to which growth is affected is important for making appropriate clinical decisions. Therefore, the monitoring of fetal growth and the recognition of pathological conditions are an integral part of prenatal diagnosis.
