Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students are expected to:
• become familiar with the modern conceptual approach to health economics, as well as the population health decision making.
• get acquainted with the epistemological foundations of health economics, health insurance issues and the modern form of health systems.
• understand the concept of economic evaluation and the use of health economics tools regarding the allocation of available resources, as well as its contribution to decision making to meet the health needs of the population and to advocate and promote health.
