Course Content (Syllabus)
The course provides insights into the complicated Balkan Issue of the 20th Century. The course comprises the interwar period, with special attention on security matters- the WWII, examining the occupation and the resistance- and the Cold War period ( bipolarity, Communist governments). In general terms the course examines the internal and external developments of the Balkan states in the whole of the 20th Century,the Inter-Balkan relations, the policy of the Great Powers and the national minorities.
