Learning Outcomes
Course Outline
The course consists of three main units: motor development, motor control, and motor learning.
By the end of the course, students will be able to understand and critically evaluate the core concepts of motor behavior, the perceptual models of human performance, cognitive strategies in teaching, and the improvement and retention of skills through practice.
Finally, they will be prepared to guide the improvement of human performance in real-world conditions. Through lectures and laboratory exercises, students will also gain hands-on experience in the scientific evaluation of reaction time, the learning of new skills, and the effects of feedback on performance.
Specific Objectives of Laboratory Sessions
The laboratory sessions aim to:
Familiarize students with the methods and instruments used to measure and evaluate motor behavior.
Help students understand the practical relevance of these tools in their future work as physical educators, coaches, or performance analysts (especially for high-performance athletes).
Deepen their understanding of motor behavior concepts by applying experimental protocols to solve practical problems.
