Learning Outcomes
Students are expected to: Practice on landscape design projects, with a focus on urban open spaces environments. Familiarize with a complete landscape architectural project/open space design project, ranging from the urban landscape and site analysis plans, the conceptual and spatial synthesis diagrams and ideas to the general layout, the spatial organization and the implementation drawings and landscape detail plans.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The subject of this course (studio landscape, urban space design) is the creation of an urban open space network, (squares, pedestrian precincts, natural remnants or traces, for example gullies, parks, unbuilt ground, archaeological sites, municipal sites), or the urban landscape design as an open space tissue in the center of contemporary Greek cities. Application of the theory and practice regarding the transformation of free space into lived-in space, into space forming part of a better quality of everyday life, allowing for collective and social activity, aimed at the enjoyment of the space, all based on the site’s particular qualities and on intentions for creative intervention in the space.
