Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
Knowledge
• Recognize the historical development of sports for individuals with disabilities and the structure of the Paralympic institutions.
• Describe the principles of sports classification and its importance for inclusion in sports.
• Analyze key motor and functional characteristics associated with various disabilities (e.g., amputation, ASD, spinal cord injury).
• Distinguish the theoretical foundations and differences between therapeutic and adapted activities.
• Understand the role of recreation and inclusive camping in the social integration of persons with disabilities.
• Be familiar with the basic principles of designing specialized programs for the elderly or individuals with complex needs.
Skills
• Apply adaptations to exercises, games, and activities for different types of disabilities.
• Design and organize motor and sports activities for individuals with ASD, motor disabilities, or amputations.
• Develop lesson plans for adapted swimming and adapted dance.
• Deliver teaching sessions in real-life settings, applying principles of differentiation.
• Use tools for classifying athletes with disabilities and develop individualized approaches.

• Work effectively in teaching teams, collaborating with organizations and school units.
• Demonstrate empathy and responsibility during participation in schools and associations for people with disabilities.
• Integrate theory and practice to provide holistic support to individuals with disabilities through physical education and recreation.
