Learning Outcomes
Learning of methodology for the integrated design of the road-plan, longitudinal profile, superelevation profile, typical cross-section and cross-sections for different road configurations, as well as analysis of road visibility. Learning and application of methodology for the computation of earth works required throughout the road and their distribution. Learning of methods to address operational impacts related to road safety and the interaction between the road and the user.

Combination of horizontal and vertical alignment, road cross-section, earthworks computations and costs, Bruckner method, road safety, deliverables needed in highway engineering project auction. Road-user interaction and emerging technologies.
