Learning Outcomes
The aim is to know and study the various pharmacological behavioral shaping techniques used in pediatric dentistry to achieve cooperation of children during dental treatment. To be able to recognize the patient's behavior and choose the appropriate techniques for each case based on scientific evidence

Course Content (Syllabus)
1.Radiographic examination protocols in pediatric dentistry. Behaviour management during taking radiographs.
2. The importance of maintaining the breathing. Evaluation of main symptoms. Faint (Prevention, Symptoms, Treatment). Anaphylactic reaction in the dental office. Prevention, Equipment and medications for confrontation.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
(a) Cardiac suspension, Cardiac arrhythmia, Cardiac insufficiency, Heart attack. Equipment - Drugs for treatment.
(b) Airway obstruction, Asthma, Hyperventilation. Equipment - Drugs for treatment. Equipment - Drugs for treatment.
3. Nitrous oxide sedation: What it is, Indications, Contraindications, Device (presentation of device components), Procedure (introduction, supply, recovery). Demonstration on the Device
4. Nitrous oxide sedation: Practical application and exercise among students
6. Dental caries risk assessment. Presentation of Cariogram Software. Fluorine in Pediatric Dentistry. Invited Speaker: Prof. Topitsoglou Basiliki (School of Dentistry Aristotle University of Thessaloniki)
7. Conscious sedation (except for nitrous oxide): What is it? Drugs, actions, indications, contraindications, side effects.
8. General anesthesia: What is it? Indications, contraindications, side effects, philosophy, preparation, execution, monitoring. Drugs and their action.
Specifics related to the treatment plan for patients under general anesthesia.
9. Nitrous oxide, conscious sedation, general anesthesia: Acceptance by parents, use by dentists - pediatric dentists and changes over the last 20 years in clinical instructions (nitrous oxide, repression, general anesthesia).
Effect of nitrous oxide, conscious sedation and general anesthesia on thereafter dental fear/anxiety and cooperation.
10. Dental rehabilitation of patients under general anaesthesia.

Equipment - Medicines in emergency situations in the dental clinic.
13. Creation of a virtual pharmacy and emergency medical system in the clinic.
