Learning Outcomes
After completing this course ● students will be familiar with the factors that influence foreign language teaching. ● students will be familiar with the principles of the communicative and intercultural approach and will be able to formulate appropriate learning objectives. ● students will be familiar with curricula (CEFR, Greek curriculum EPS-XG) and will be able to formulate learning objectives for different levels in accordance with the curricula. ● students will be able to plan and organise lessons in German as a foreign language with a focus on reading and comprehension, listening comprehension, grammar and the use of strategies. ● students will be able to promote the development of vocabulary and comprehension strategies in their lessons with the aim of autonomous learning. ● Students can assess which tasks and exercises are suitable for promoting reading and listening comprehension skills and the development of the necessary strategies.

Course Content (Syllabus)
This seminar aims to introduce basic concepts and principles of didactics of foreign languages. It is focused upon aspects of teaching a FL like objectives, competences, lesson planning. Special attention is paid to the Common Eeuropean Framework of Reference for Languages and Reading Comprehension.
