Learning Outcomes
The course includes the diagnosis of clinical cases who present or are referred to the Post-Graduate Prosthodontic Clinic of the Department of Prosthodontics and their Treatment Planning (proposed and alternatives). The course is facilitated by assignment of presentations to the postgraduate students who present their clinical cases by PowerPoint presentations of the acquisitions of the diagnostic examination (medical and dental history, clinical examination, radiographic examinations, esthetic analysis of the face, TMJ diagnostic evaluation, periodontal and endodontic evaluation, diagnosis and prognosis, tooth to tooth evaluation based on the diagnostic criteria and the prognosis. A discussion follows on the diagnosis and the proposed treatment plan, and its alternatives based on the existing evidence in the dental literature. Also included in the course are assignment of presentations to the postgraduate students on subjects which refer to the prosthodontic procedures or the management of patients with compromised medical conditions.
