Learning Outcomes
Upon the successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
• Understand and use familiar everyday expressions in formal or informal style and communicate in simple and routine tasks on familiar and routine matters related to areas of most immediate relevance of their everyday life
• Talk and make plans for the future, express preferences, talk about the past and their experiences, invite and accept or decline an invitation, ask or give permission, place an order, make a request
• Write small simple texts such as a simple letter or an e-mail, a postcard, a simple CV note with basic personal information
• Understand and use basic elements of Greek morphology and syntax of the A2 level according to the Comon European Framework of Reference for languages of the Council of Europe and the Syllabus of A1 of the School of Modern Greek Language of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

Course Content (Syllabus)
In the course of Modern Greek Language for foreign AUTH Medical School students: level A2 (basic user), students will develop basic communication skills both in oral and in written language in formal or informal style related to areas of immediate relevance of their everyday life, through communicative situations relevant to medical studies (e.g. very basic personal and family information, talking about their everyday life, making plans for the future, expressing preferences and feelings, describing personal experiences, talking about the past, about a health problem, describe basic symptoms, inviting people, asking and giving permission, ordering etc.). They will be introduced to simple texts such as small dialogues, short narrations, signs, announcements, instructions, doctor's prescriptions, invitations, advertisements, simple brochures or application forms, weather forecast, simple letters or e-mails, aimed at the satisfaction on familiar and routine matters and needs of communication in their everyday life.

Description
There is a textbook with listening exercises from the Internet, as well as the use of photos, videos, websites, multimedia material, and PowerPoint presentations related to the subject of the lesson.
After the end of each lesson, electronic notes are sent to the students via e-mail.
The final evaluation is conducted via a written test on the Aristotle University Moodle plarform.
