Course objectives are for the student to:
• Be able to understand and use basic terms of clinical epidemiology (incidence, prevalence)
• Be able to evaluate and select the most appropriate diagnostic test based on sensitivity and specificity.

Course Content (Syllabus)
What is Evidence-Based Medicine. Basic statistical concepts. Study types - Appraisal of evidence. Formulating a research question. Search for primary and secondary evidence. Diagnostic accuracy studies and screening studies. Prognostic studies. Interventional studies (RCTs). Studies of harm.
