After the successful completion of the course, the students are expected to: • perceive the basic principles of road safety • be familiar with the basic meanings and parameters that determine the road safety • learn to analyze, judge and compose different design criteria • perceive the basic principles of rail safety and rail intersections safety.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Collection and analysis of accident data. Identification of dangerous places. Numerical and statistical methods. Defining improvements and evaluating results. Correlation of accidents with characteristics of users, vehicles, road environment. Road safety control. Barriers systems. Railway system safety.
