Learning Outcomes
Upon the successful completion of the course, the students will be able: 1. to understand the content, purpose, variety and complementarity of mobility management measures along with their association to specific urban transport problems. 2. to analyze quantitative and qualitative data, which pertain to the operation of transport infrastructure and services, in order to design small-scale measures / interventions for the improvement of traffic flow and the promotion of walking, cycling and multimodal transport. 3. to measure quantitative and qualitative variables for the assessement of parking problems in urban areas as well as to design off-street parking facilities considering operational, technical and economic criteria. 4. to recognize the benefits, capabilities and applications of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) regarding the upgrading of passenger and freight transport in urban areas. 5. to understand the existing framework for the implementation of mobility management measures, the current technical standards of the soft mobility infrastructures as well as the strategy of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs) in the urban areas of the country.

Features and management of parking facilities and related measures 6. Vehicle use management measures and shared mobility schemes 7. Applications of intelligent transport systems (ITS) in urban mobility 8. Urban freight transport 9. Multimodal passenger transport
