Course Content (Syllabus)
Seismic response of structures: Observations from real earthquakes case studies. Introduction to strong ground motion, elastic waves theory, Fourier and response spectra, strong ground motion intensity indices, dynamic behavior of soils, laboratory and in-situ testing method for dynamic soil properties, soil liquefaction, seismic response of soils and applications in geotechnical earthquake engineering, soil, site and topography effects on seismic response, Design Spectra - seismic design codes (EC8, EAK2002, international codes)
