Course Content (Syllabus)
Introduction to Digital Systems. Binary Numbers: Binary Codes. Boolean Algebra: Basic Theorems and Properties, Boolean Functions, Digital Logic Gates. Gate-Level Minimization: Map Method, Implementation with NAND and NOR Gates. Combinational Logic: Analysis Process, Design Process, Adder, Magnitude Comparators, Decoders, Encoders, Multiplexers, Three-State Gates. Synchronous Sequential Logic: Flip-Flop, Analysis of Synchronous Sequential Circuits, Design methodology of Synchronous Sequential Circuits. Registers and Counters. Circuit Implementation with Programming Languages (VHDL, Verilog), Design Using ASM. ROM and RAM Memories, Programmable Logic Devices.
