Learning Outcomes
The module “Elements of Pedagogics” consists of an introduction to the field of pedagogics through the theoretical review of the history of pedagogics, the basic terminology and concepts, the main models of pedagogy that have been proposed and implemented abroad and in Greece by gread theoreticians, the theories of development of children and adolescents and theories of human cognitive development. Moreover, it includes contemporary topics of educational practice that relate with the specialization of the students and the field of the department, such as experiential learning, creativity in educational practice, methodological approaches to educational research, as well as modern topics such as anti-racist education, effective class management, emotional literacy, cross-cultural education.

Student Assessment
Description
The basic assessment will be performed through final written exams during the official exam period. In addition, the students are given an opportunity to take up an individual assignment that they are asked to present orally during the classes. This assigmnent gives an additional credit of two points to the final grade.
