Basic knowledge of Mathematical Analysis which is required in computer science.

- Retrieve, analyse and synthesise data and information, with the use of necessary technologies
Course Content (Syllabus)
-- Algebraic and geometric study of the plane and the space. Vectors, equations of lines and planes.
-- Functions of two or three variables. Partial derivatives and applications (gradient, optimization problems, series).
-- Maximum and Minimum Values. Lagrange Multipliers. Applications in computer science (e.g. maximization of Shannon Entropy).
-- Double and line Integrals with applications (simplified introduction).
