With the completion of course, the students: - know the importance of foreign language educational policy - Realise that the international factors (political, economic, social, technological…) influence the national foreign language educational policy - They recognize the relation of foreign language educational policy with the establishment of foreigner languages in the education and with the education of teachers of foreigner languages

Course Content (Syllabus)
In this course is examined initially the official foreign language educational policy in Greece and afterwards the influence of this policy as much in the integration of foreign Languages in the Greek Education as in the education of foreign language teachers. The subject is approached with base historical-hermeneutical method. Thus, for the more objective interpretation of each developments that concern the foreign language policy and the foreign languages in the Greek Education, are taken into consideration international, European and Balkan historical, ideological, political, economical, social and technological changes.
