Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will understand the various types of research and the structure of scholarly and scientific papers; they will be able to evaluate research papers, they will know what should be considered for designing an empirical research and they will be able to build a comprehensive research plan.

Description
Evaluation is based on the participation in the discussions in class, an oral presentation, a written exam and a final written essay. Evaluation criteria are the completeness and comprehensiveness of the analysis of scholarly and scientific papers presenting empirical research and apt commentary, based on what has been learned about the structure of a scientific paper and the research design. The evaluation criteria are analyzed and explained in detail in class.
