The aim of the course is to get students acquainted with ancient dramatic reperformances and their crucial role in the history of Greek drama.

Course Content (Syllabus)
This course focuses on reperformances of drama during the fifth and fourth centuries BC. Along this basic theme, we are also going to discuss the spread of drama beyond the Athenian borders, the professional mobility of actors and poets, the rise of the acting profession, as well as the associations between reperformances and tragedy-related vases.
