Course Content (Syllabus)
Overview of all classical theories about the function of attention, learning, language and memory. Models about the function of attention. Control attention. Imprinting, habituation, classical conditioning. Memory systems (sensory storage, short-term memory, long term memory). Models and functions of memory systems. Variables affecting the memory system. Memory for images (objects, faces, scenes). Theoretical interpretations. Knowledge and structure of knowledge (semantic memory, episodic memory, autobiographical memory. Forgetting, theories of forgetting. Mnemonic. Structure of language. Language acquisition, langi8age development.
