Learning Outcomes
Students should be familiar with the methodology of philological research as a critical field of the wider philological discipline. At the same time, students make acquaintance with the total of Italian literature, through a coarse-obviously- presentation of it. Lastly, they are initiated to the composition of scientific papers through a specific guidance regarding a paper's form, as well as content.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Aim of the course is to point; a. the complicated pursuits of the philological thought, in order to be applied on the study of texts, mainly literary texts, b. the ways through which philologically based knowledge of a text can be attempted, c. the study of cultural contexts and relevant codes, d. some instructions for the study of critical editions and e. the manner for formulating a scientific paper, according to the mentioned parameters.
