Course Content (Syllabus)
The meaning of Essence is that the objective Being is not immediacy but thesis – an act of positing. This fact is commonly overlooked by positivism itself. In the Logic of Essence the reconstruction of Being coincides with the genesis of thinking – noein. The goal of our lesson will be to accurately determine and follow the fine distinctions between the sublation and the thesis of Being. The Logic of Essence is based on the following functional concepts: 1. The horizon of inwardness in which the Being immerses itself and becomes Essence. 2. The alienation or externalization of the inner Essence. 3. The analogy which unites inwardness with the exit of Essence out of itself. The Logic of Essence cannot be complete unless it is demonstrated that the above analogy is not simply an important category of the Logic of Essence but in general the absolute form of the immediate Being and of the essential In-Being – the self-consciousness of Reason itself.
