Course Content (Syllabus)
Techniques in Biochemistry laboratory Cultures of microorganisms and cells with/without plasmids and phages. DNA digestion with restriction endonucleases. Recombination in plasmid. Bacterial transformation with a plasmid. Ultra centrifugation for molecules separation. Amino acids analysis and determination of a peptide sequence. Electrophoresis of protein. Electro-trasfer of protein onto membranes. Immunodetection. Immunoprecipitation of proteins with antibodies and Protein A sepharose. Chromatographic technics. Determination of enzymatic activities with radioisotopes.
