Psychotherapy: Similarities and differences with other types of relationships, which also aim at providing help. Classification of therapies (e.g., organic vs. psychological, directive vs. non-directive, etc.). Behavioral approach: definitions and specific techniques (e.g. SD, flooding/implosion, aversion therapy, etc.). Behavior modification: general principles and specific techniques. Token economy. Cognitive-behavioural approach: definitions. Coping skills therapies. Problem solving therapies. Cognitive restructuring methods: Rational-emotive behavior therapy (A. Ellis). Cognitive therapy (A. Beck).
