Course Content (Syllabus)
A historical event with extensions in art as well. How the dispute over the images manifested itself.Sources. Councils were held during it. Problems arose in the body of the Church and how these affected the relations of the Church of Constantinople with the other Churches. The effects of Iconoclasm on the ecclesiastical art of the period. The literature of the period. The new martyrs.
