Course Content (Syllabus)
This course aims to approach the historical role of infant schools in relation to the education of minority students. Additionally, considerable attention is also paid to the education of children of minority background and to the management of the multicultural classroom. Furthermore, there are approaches to issues of racial identity and identification, the treatment of children who do not know the language of the school, the role of teacher and family, and the importance of developing bonds among school-family-community. Of great importance are also the various approaches to multiculturalism models, and the usage of teaching material for diversity management. Moreover, there is an attempt to study the different groups that have a presence in Greek infant schools and as a consequence an analysis of the management of multiculturalism in terms of curricula is offered. Lastly, related issues about intercultural education in the infant school classroom are also examined

Description
The examination has a written or an oral form, or could take the form of writing an essay. The aim of the first and second methods is to study and comprehend the key parameters involved in managing multiculturalism in infant schools. The purpose of the third is to offer to the students a case study of the school class, in a critical context
